For centuries, vines have been cultivated on its limestone soil and this famous eaux-de-vie is part of the French tradition and history. Cognac is mostly made from Ugni Blanc which produces an acidic, light wine, excellent for distillation. We have selected some Cognacs from the main interesting growth areas or Crus: - Grande and Petite Champagne, strong eaux de vie which only express their finesse after a long ageing in oak barrels, which give them their colour and part of their taste, - Borderies and Fins bois, delicate and light eaux de vie which reach their maturity more rapidly.
